Definitions

Producer Organizations: All producer organizations in the Fair Trade USA program, either directly certified or under recognition; excludes organizations that only trade.

Premium Participants: Farmers and fishers in Small Producer Organizations, and workers in Hired Labour setups (approximation): those who meet standards and can decide on premium use.

Direct Beneficiaries: Premium participants plus the rest of the members of their household. Estimates based on average household size in the respective country.
