Community Support

Based on a worker survey at Sheico (Thailand) Company LTD, the Fair Trade Committee voted to invest Community Development Funds towards kitchen equipment for a primary school near the factory. When planning this project, it was very important to the members that this project have purpose and would be beneficial to the surrounding public community. The equipment included silverware, food trays and other items necessary for the school lunch preparation at Ban Huai Prap School. In addition, the project plan also budgeted for repairing or replacing equipment as needed. Lunch is the one of the most important meals for students, as they can have access to nutrition and and accompanying supportive and positive environment during their school day.
