Specialty Healthcare

Healthcare can be very expensive in New Zealand especially dental and vision care. The ability to afford and access this care was a priority for employees of Bostock Organics. The Fair Trade Committee organized the premium use offer 100 employees $144 USD each for health care expenditures. Overall, $14,400 USD in Community Development Funds were invested for this health care initiative. Employees were able to use this stipend toward specialties such as dental, vision, dermatology, physical therapy, and auditory care. It was an important focus for Bostock Organics as health is essential for an person's physical, mental, and emotional well-being and having a proactive approach to health and taking these steps of access to prevent illness and disease was seen as critical to this working community.
