Medical Treatment Program

Bresson S.A. is an Ecuadorian tropical fruit farming and export company located in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Their main Fair Trade Certified export is mangos. Bresson S.A. implemented a wide range of impact projects in 2024 that covered employee recognition and appreciation gifts during the holiday season, nutritional assistance through vouchers, school supplies, and financial support to improve the housing conditions. Bresson S.A.'s Fair Trade committee voted for this project in response to the medical needs that challenge this local community. Chronic child malnutrition, general poor dietary habits and parasitic diseases challenge this local community. To help address these medical needs, this specific project highlights the implementation and investment of $866 USD towards a health care initiative. Medical evaluations included lab tests (blood and stool). In addition, follow up exams, treatment and medications were provided as needed. 20 workers and their immediate families (spouses and children) at the Haciendas San Isidro location in Carrizal and Isidro Ayora had access to medical treatment and care.
