Supporting Local Institutions

Project Description: Producers voted to invest Fair Trade Community Development Funds in several local institutions that are integral to the community.
Reason for the Project: Sugarcane farmers in this Paraguayan small producer association identified a need to support critical local institutions in their communities, which suffer from a severe lack of resources.
Project Outcome: Local schools, health clinics, sports clubs, local police functions and women's association received funds which will enable them to provide greater benefit to the community.
