Breast Cancer Screening

The Fair Trade Committee of Indus Intex prioritized breast cancer screening for over 80% of the female workforce. This is a critical health care prevention strategy to help address a disease that can be detected at early stages before symptoms may appear. Almost 850 women were able to access medical screening for breast cancer as result of the the investment of $6900 USD of Community Development Funds. This project demonstrated the importance of women's health care and also the prioritization of women in the workplace. Equipment and staff were onsite, making the screening accessible for the beneficiaries of this project.
