Action for Children

The schools in Hanoi's Mo Lao community where this factory is located are in need of critical resources and support. As the factory has a thirty-year history in this community, with strong links forged over that time, workers selected two projects to support orphaned children in the community, with a total project budget of US$20,000. The first part of the project was to distribute 500,000 VND (about $19) to all 959 employees. The second part of the project provided gifts for 44 orphaned children, as well as a festive day of music and dancing on the Children's Day holiday. This investment covered the cost of much-needed educational resources, and enabled the children to experience five musical performances from fellow students, with over 150 attendees celebrating the launch of this community investment.
